DEDIQATED marked the twentieth birthday of the Netherlands’ biggest representative of the harder styles in dance music: Q-Dance.
For this special occasion, the audience got guided through the history of Q-dance and their event concepts; from their Qlubtempo nights in the early days through the evolution of Hardstyle, passing various milestones such as the birth of their renowned Defqon 1 Festival and Qlimax, but also events like In Qontrol and Q-Base got relived in full glory.
Also influentual hardstyle music labels and artists were honored and celebrated during this 11-hour spectacle.
The events programme was divided in chapters, each representing a pivotal period, event or music style within the history of Q-Dance.
Suiting to this, each chapter featured an iconic logo from that period, displayed on a big circular video screen at the center of the enormous DEDIQATED stage.
For a unique event like this, it is obviously mandatory to soak people in right from the beginning. Exactly this is what Q-Dance assigned us with: we had the honor to create the opening show which introduced the Qlubtempo Parade chapter.
